Compare Breville 800JEXL vs BJE200XL

Breville 800JEXL juicerBreville BJE200XL Compact=

These two juicers are very similar in many respects. How do I know? Because I own them both :) They are made by the same company so it is to be expected that many of their design features will be related. For example, they both have Breville’s signature wide feeder chute. On both the 800JEXL and the BJE200XL the hole is 3 inches wide. So with both machines it is easy to feed in whole bits of fruit and vegetables. This saves time because we do not have to chop up our ingredients very much at all.

They both come with a 1.1 liter collection jug which is just the right size to catch your juice as it comes flowing out of the machines. The jugs have a froth separator which stops any foam on the top of the juice from going into your glass. These juicers also have a cleaning brush included. This is handy because it helps get rid of the fruity pulp that often gets caught in the blades and filter basket section.

Also, both machines have dishwasher safe parts. Of course, the electrical base section cannot go into a dishwasher, but all the other parts are fine. They can be placed on the top shelf so you can take care of cleaning them that way. Personally, I always wash my juicers by hand as soon as I have made my juice. This is the easiest time to get them clean. It gets much harder to clean the filter basket if the fruit and vegetable pulp has a chance to dry on.

Another similarity is that both machines are centrifugal juicers. They are able to make fresh fruit and vegetable drinks in literally seconds and they are both easy to clean up after use. So with all these similarities maybe you should buy a Breville BJE200XL. After all, this juicer is about 1/3 of the price of the top of the range Breville 800JEXL machine. That said, there are obviously some differences.

When you look at the two juicing appliances above, it is easy to tell which one is the more expensive. The look of the BJE200XL is nice but the 800JEXL is amazing! Its body is made from die cast stainless steel. You can purchase these juicers on Amazon so it is a good idea to compare the prices there to check the latest deals.

The more expensive 800JEXL device is a twin speed machine. There is a high and low setting. This means that the central cylinder with the cutting blades can spin at either 13,000 RPM or 6,500 RPM depending upon the type of produce you are putting into it. The BJE200XL on the other hand only has one speed setting, 13,000 RPM.

I am actually a big fan of the Breville BJE200XL. To me, it represents great value for money. Admittedly, I do think that the 800JEXL looks much nicer. And as a present, it would make a much nicer gift. However they are two machines that, while looking different, do pretty much the exact same thing. They make juice.

Both the Breville 800JEXL and Breville BJE200XL are great juicers. I like using my 800JEXL but I would not recommend buying it on juicing grounds. However if you have the money and want the most stylish Breville juicer available today then it is the one to choose.

What is the Best Juicer for a Beginner?

Breville BJE200XL Compact=There are a host of different types of juicing appliances including centrifugal, masticating and twin gear juicers. Then there are also citrus presses and wheatgrass juicers. It may be a daunting prospect if you have never owned one of these appliances before. If you are wondering, what is the best juicer for a beginner? Then you have come to the right place.

I have been making fresh fruit and vegetable drinks for around 15 years so with this experience I hope to be able to help you find a juicer that is right for you. There are many things to consider such as, how much you are willing to spend, what type of juices you mainly want to make, how much time you have for juicing as well as brand consideration questions. There are many different companies that producing electrical as well as hand powered juicing machines, these include, Breville, Omega, Black & Decker, Green Star, Hamilton Beach, Jack Lalanne, Magimix and more.

By clicking any of the juicer images you can get more information on Amazon. Indeed if you want to buy a juicer on Amazon then you can be sure that they offer some of the lowest prices available online.

Hamilton Beach 67650 juicerIn this post I shall provide details of three of the juicers that I feel are best for beginners. Criteria I used for selection include, reasonable price and ease of use. These are the two factors that are the most important to me when I buy a new juicer myself. There are some experienced juice makers who become elitist regarding what type of machine they will use and swear by twin gear juicers. While there are undoubtedly some benefits to using this style of machine, they are both expensive and awkward to use. So if you are just starting on your juice adventure I recommend using a centrifugal juicer. My personal preference is to use this type of juicing appliance too. The primary reasons for this are both speed of use and speed of clean up after use. I have found that if I begin to worry about how long it will take me to tidy up I begin to think that making a juice is a hassle. Therefore the quicker the clean up, the more worthwhile it becomes. Of course there are all the health benefits that accrue from drinking fresh fruit and vegetable drinks too.

My top recommendations for juicing beginners are to buy a Breville BJE200XL (I own this juicer) or get a Hamilton Beach 67650. You can get an even cheaper machine if you purchase a Waring JEX328 Health Juice Extractor. All three of these juicers is available for under $100. If they were all the same price then I would say that the Breville BJE200XL is definitely the one to go for. However if price plays a factor in your decision then this decision may not be so clear cut. The Hamilton Beach 67650 is a good compromise between low cost and great features. The Waring JEX328 is pretty good but compared to the other two machines has a smaller feed chute which means you have to chop up your fruit and vegetables first. This is not a huge pain however one of the other two machines will save you seconds every time you make a juice.

Waring JEX328 Health Juice ExtractorCheck the price of the Hamilton Beach 67650 Big Mouth Pro juicer. If you can find it for under $100 is is also a good choice and rivals the Breville BJE200XL as possibly the best machine for a beginner.

It would be wise to compare prices of all three juicers on this page before making a final decision. As mentioned above, the big difference between the Waring Juice Extractor and the other two machines is that it has a smaller feeder opening.

One of the reasons I like the Breville machine so much is that it is extremely fast at juicing whatever you put into it. Clean up is also very easy. It is quick to take apart. Then all you have to do is scoop out the pulp, throw it away and then rinse the components under running water. It includes a brush to help get rid of the tiny bits of pulp that get trapped in the micro mesh filter. The Hamilton Beach 67601 also comes with a brush to make the clean up easier.

Regardless of which juicer takes your fancy, it is worth remembering that the sooner you clean it after use, the easier it will be. As the pulp begins to dry inside your juicing machine it begins to stick harder and also stain the insides meaning you have to scrub harder.

Usually I make a juice then put it to the side for a minute while I quickly scoop out the juice pulp, throw it in the bin and then place the parts of my juicer in a sink full of water to let them soak. After I have finished drinking my juice I simply go back and rinse the separate pieces. The only part that really needs a bit of extra attention is the cylinder that spins. Often small bits of pulp can get trapped in the holes where the juice escapes from. This is why it is very handy to have a kitchen brush to get it out.

You can check the prices of these juicing appliances on Amazon to find out which is the best juicer for you.

As the Juice Fiend, I am about more than just juicers. For instance, even the best juicer is of little use if you do not have some great tasting juice recipes to make. In addition, with the number of top quality blending appliances such as a Vitamix blender that are on sale today, there is a wide range of amazing smoothie recipes for you to choose from. The beauty of drinking smoothies is that they can be as indulgent or healthy as you desire.
