Hi Kim, have you seen the movie "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead"? You can check a trailor out here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gv3vEXy_EwU). I think it's a great advertisement for juicing.

Green juices are the best for nutrition, but maybe not for taste. I just had a green smoothie with mustard spinach and it tasted like...mustard.

Pineapple and apple are good at masking the taste of greens. A real simple drink could be pineapple, apple, lemon/lime and some greens. If you want to make more of a meal of it, you could blend this juice with some bananas or an avocado.

The Juice Master's book "Turbo Charge your Life in 14 Days" is great for motivation and it has some nice recipes too.

My favorite juices are really plain ones, e.g. freshly squeezed orange juice or carrot and ginger juice. And for getting good fats and the most nutrients into me, I love green smoothies, such as the recipe above (kale is my favorite green). Juicing a few oranges and then blending the juice with a couple of bananas can be quite filling.

Hi Andy, I am just starting a juice diet and am trying to loose weight and get healthy. I became a vegetarian 2 1/2 yars ago and in that time I put on a lot of weight because I ate a ton of cheeses, sweets, and breads. any advise on what veg/frt combos to start off with? Hope to hear from you soon, Kim:)

Hi @raptor22b. Thanks for your summertime #greenjuice recipe. I love keeping things simple, so just two ingredients is right up my street :) Must admit, I don't juice enough lettuce. I'll give this a try if the sun is out tomorrow!
